In 2019, on the second day of August, the inaugural class of the Master’s Degree in Cardiovascular Sciences took place. On the occasion, we had the distinguished presence of Prof. Dr. Jose Antonio Franchini Ramires, Professor of Cardiology at the University of São Paulo (USP) – Instituto do Coração (INCOR) who spoke about the “Frontier of Cardiovascular Investigation”.

Two years later, the month of August was once again remarkable because we celebrated the first Qualification Exams for students in the Master’s Degree in Cardiovascular Sciences. On August 9, 2021, the 1st qualifying exam for this course took place. The title of the paper presented was “ASSOCIATION BETWEEN GENERIC AND SPECIFIC HEALTH-RELATED QUALITY OF LIFE INSTRUMENTS IN INDIVIDUALS WITH CHRONIC HEART AND LUNG DISEASES”, authored by student Carla Mikaella de Moura Brasil, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Rafael Barreto de Mesquita. On August 21, the student João Lins de Araújo Neto, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Eduardo Arrais Rocha, was submitted to the qualification exam with the paper entitled “RISK STRATIFICATION FOR PREDICTION OF ATRIAL FIBRILLATION AFTER CARDIAC SURGERY”.
